2022 Special Election Information
The Special Primary Election and Special Election process will fill the vacant US Representative seat until January 1, 2023
June 11 - Special Primary Election
- Vote by mail
- Everyone registered by May 12 will receive a ballot in the mail
- Ballots must be postmarked by June 11
- Ballots are postage-paid, so just drop them in the mail

- In-person voting will be available starting May 27 at:
- Division of Elections Regional Offices
- Other polling locations - coming soon
- Since this is a statewide open primary - everyone will get the same ballot.
- Choose your favorite (one vote only). The top four vote getters will advance to the general election.
August 16 - Special Election
- Vote in-person; it will be on the same ballot as the regularly scheduled primary.
- Sample ballots on the AK Division of Elections website
- This will be a Ranked Choice Ballot
- Rank as many or as few as you like.
